After graduating as an Occupational Therapist at UCT in 1988, Lesley pursued clinical practice in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation. In 1998 she changed direction and moved into consulting for insurance companies and legal firms focusing on functional, and in particular, work capacity. She has more than twenty years of experience in the assessment of adults with all kinds of physical, cognitive and psychological problems but has always retained her special interest in psychiatry. With conditions such as depression and anxiety currently being amongst the most frequent causes of disability in the workplace worldwide (and most misunderstood), she has added a workshop on understanding and managing mental illness in the workplace to her repertoire of services.
Over and above her degree in occupational therapy she is a certified ErgoScience Practitioner and Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) Provider.
